On the nature of fire

I read this article.

And thought this thought:

The banking industry is like a wildfire, through the cannibalization of foreclosure and speculation - taking any and all immediate fuel supplies and burning them up quickly. Whereas, our infrastructure agencies - public employees in our schools, police departments, fire departments, etc. - are akin to a furnace, constantly providing us with the support necessary for our society to survive. We continue to bail out the financial industry to the tune of multiple trillions of dollars - pouring gasoline on the wildfire; while our corporate-backed government is trying to run up our heating bill.
